Nina is fitting in great and is a wonderful addition to the family.
She has gone to see the vet a few times just on checkups, got a bath, and get those long toe nails trimmed... she even is turning into alittle lady with manners.

While we still say outside with her the entire time she's outside because of her first two escapes in the first weekend, she has learned that she cannot get out of the yard...or rather shouldn't!

Matt and I are both enjoying her as she is sucha cuddle dog!!! You stop petting her for a moment, she's in your lapasking for more lovies!

We went to see my parents in ARK this weekendand she traveled very well. The other 2 babies... Natalie and Nicholas... are very much enjoyinghaving a little sister.

They all get along great and it's funny how much they all look alike in their own way too.
I have attached a few photos from this weekend.
One is Matt with all 3 babies,

One of me and her in my folks back yard and the last

is Nina's favorite position... between the legs!!!

She's even learned to sit. We can thank Matt's best friend for that!
She's doing amazingly well and really has settled into a compy life.

Each of the 3 are so darn cute when we wake up in the morning to let them out... each on their own bed and they usually rotate at night who sleeps on what bed! Thanks again... Liz

Please help us , help Phyllis, by clicking on our PayPal button below. All donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated!

On Friday she is heading off to Gurnee AH for boarding and we will have the Vet look at her films and decide if he can attempt a repair.

I will also get a second opinion if I need to. If it can not be repaired- sadly the leg will need to be amputated as the pain would just be too great for her. I CRINGE any time she puts weigh on that leg.

I just got back from picking Phyllis up from All Creatures Vet Clinic in Downers Grove, IL. To say her X-rays are unbelievable is a huge understatement. Her femur (thigh bone) is broken/shattered into 4 pieces- one of which is about 3 inches long and split in half.
The broken bones literally line up in a Z shape. I am heart-sick at how much pain this dog is in and how much she must have suffered until now. This injury is at least a few months old too.
